Disable Screen Blank in Debian

By default Debian is set to display a blank screen after 30 minutes and power down the monitor after 60 minutes.  In order to disable this functionality, you do the following:

Edit /etc/console-tools/config

Change the following lines:

CHANGE BLANK_TIME=30 TO BLANK_TIME=0

CHANGE POWERDOWN_TIME=30 TO POWERDOWN_TIME=0

After making these changes you will need to reboot and then you should not have an issue with the screen going blank.
